Post Game Jam 20241003


This game was started under the delusion it would be doable within a month by a dedicated team of four as part of a visual novel game jam. Now I am continuing it as a solo dev, convincing myself I will have it finished by January 2025. 

The design scope of the game I believe will stay the same, with a more narrow understanding of the actual out put that will be involved. That is to say, as I continue the work myself, I will be relying far more on the code and writing to do the heavy lifting, as I do not really have artistic support like in the month of October. This may change as time goes on, but for now the plan is to make use of the assets I have, and be very limited in how I indulge myself outside of them.

The plan is to focus on one crew member at a time. At the moment I have the most fleshed out idea of what the Engineer will be up to, and have given him the most to do. I believe the Miner will come next, as the Miner and Engineer have the most interaction between them in the narrative... I think.

By October 9th I hope to upload version 0.6 where the Miners interactions will be fully implemented for the whole game. This is a surely overly ambitious goal that I will not meet.
